The New MicroCal PEAQ-DSC Automated System
26 Mar 2017Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) is an established biophysical tool for protein stability characterization during biopharmaceutical drug development. The MicroCal VP-Capillary DSC system is an automated DSC system that performs TM screening and evaluates protein stability for a wide range of biopharmaceutical applications. This white paper discusses the new and improved features of the MicroCal VP-Capillary DSC system, including PEAQ-Compliance, PEAQ-Smart, PEAQ-Finder, PEAQ-Performance and PEAQ-Compare, which make DSC even easier to use, and produce reliable, reproducible DSC data.

It is useful for optimizing economical and efficient drug production. Process chemistry uses reactors and pump systems as well as reagents, standards and buffers.Protein PurificationProtein purification is a vital step in drug discovery, therapeutics, biotech and life science research. The purification process typically involves subcellular or membrane protein extraction with cell lysis kits, separation of proteins from cell debris by filtration or spin columns, and the isolation of proteins of interest from other proteins and impurities with affinity purification (including fusion protein tags and antibody binding proteins A, G and L), immunoprecipitation or chromatographic methods, such as ion exchange, size exclusion and immobilized metal affinity chromatography. All purification methods come in multiple formats for your laboratory needs, including agarose or magnetic beads, resins, columns and filter plates.
