This application note describes the detection of Enterobacteriaceae and Cronobacter spp. (E. sakazakii), in infant formula by Real-Time PCR using BIOTECON Diagnostics foodproof®Enterobacteriaceae plus E. sakazakii Detection Kit. The procedure described also allows use of the pre-enrichment and extracted DNA for the consecutive detection of Salmonella by PCR.
