SPEAR SARS-CoV-2 Spike Immunoassay

28 Oct 2024

There is growing interest in detecting and quantifying the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 since it functions as the primary mechanism for host cell infection. Particular attention is being given to the spike protein in patients with persistent and varied symptoms after the acute phase of infection, known as the Post Acute Sequelae of Covid-19 (PASC). Explore the ultrasensitive SPEAR SARS-CoV-2 Spike Protein assay developed by Spear Bio, which is capable of detecting sub fM S1 spike protein subunit from 1 μL diluted samples. The assay is paired with a proprietary antibody-reducing sample treatment. This allows the total amount of spike protein to be detected, even in the presence of anti-spike antibodies, for accurate and consistent measurements.
