Smart technology to keep your freezers free of frost
11 Dec 2019Today, there exists plasma storage freezers that offer manual or auto defrost options. Automatic defrost freezers work by heating elements at regular intervals routinely. Even though this increases convenience, often times the temperature fluctuations during the auto defrost cycle and the energy consumption of the freezers raise concerns.
This paper assesses the smart auto defrost technology used by B Medical Systems on the temperature uniformity inside the cabinet for the long-term storage of FFP, as well as the operational efficiency of the freezers.
