Pharmacokinetic Profile of Efavirenz in Dried Blood Spot (DBS) Samples. Comparison of Manual and Automated Extraction with the CAMAG DBS-MS Device

Efavirenz (EFV) is a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor for the treatment of human HIV type 1 infection. Monitoring of EFV concentrations in DBS samples would facilitate outpatient management. This poster describes a study to test the feasibility of analyzing EFV in DBS samples using the automated CAMAG DBSMS extraction device.
