Metabolites in Human Urine

24 Mar 2022

In this application note, a method is shown that can be used for routine assays of a urinary purine (Hypoxanthine), a bile acid (Chenodeoxycholic Acid), and nutrients (Betaine and Choline) in biological fluids. It is very sensitive due to the high content of the organic component Acetonitrile in the mobile phase and the use of “MS friendly” Formic Acid. Very reproducible with RSD below 0.5% it is also accurate (MW to 3-4 decimal points).

Cogent Diamond Hydride™ HPLC Columns

MicroSolv Technology Corp.

Cogent Diamond Hydride HPLC Columns are manufactured with TYPE-C™ silica (silica hydride) and a very small amount of carbon on the surface that adjusts the column hydrophobicity to an important level. This makes these columns have unique separation capabilities for scientists working in LCMS, metabolomics, bioanalytical, amino acids, organic acids, carbohydrates, and very polar small molecules.
