Investigation of the Performance of Sorptive Extraction Cartridges for Air Monitoring
3 Aug 2014It is demonstrated that despite the considerable advantages of sorptive extraction cartridges for sampling of semi-volatile analytes from liquids, they perform poorly for the higher-volatility analytes that are typically of interest in air monitoring and material emissions applications. For such cases, it is shown that pumped sampling into sorbent tubes offers much better performance for a wider range of analytes.
