Image-Based Analysis of a Human Neurosphere Stem Cell Model for the Evaluation of Potential Neurotoxicants

30 Apr 2016

Pollution in the environment can lead to a buildup of toxic chemicals detrimental to human health, the developing nervous system in particular is very susceptible to toxicant exposure. Testing the effect of chemicals on the nervous system to better understand the cause and effect can be time and cost consuming when using animal models, this application demonstrates a 3D neurosphere model composed of human neural stem cells (hNSCs) used for toxicity testing. This system can reduce cost and the amount of animal experimentation, while still providing useful results.

Agilent BioTek Gen5 Software for Detection

Agilent Technologies

Agilent BioTek Gen5 software for Agilent BioTek multimode and single-mode microplate readers is an integrated tool for endpoint, kinetic, spectral scanning, and well area scanning. It controls all the functions of the plate reader and has powerful data analysis capabilities for a broad range of applications. Gen5 microplate reader software is also used to integrate BioTek plate readers to BioTek BioStack and other automated systems.
