Identification of Molecular Species of Phospholipids by combination of Neutral Loss Survey and MS3

This application poster describes how a system was established to analyse molecular species of phospholipids. This was perfomed through neutral loss survey of the head group-relating mass values, and then selecting the resulting product ions as precursor ions for MS3 analyses, using the LCMS-IT-TOF. To elucidate the function of phospholipids, it is necessary to analyze not only their classes and subclasses but also molecular species.
