Gas Chromatography High Resolution Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometry (GCHRT)

12 Apr 2011

In this application note Gas Chromatography High Resolution Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometry (GCHRT) was used for the analysis of PBDEs in sediment and fish biota samples. The 13 samples were fortified with labelled PBDE standards and dissolved in 12 nonane for analysis. Chromatographic separations were performed using an Agilent 7890 GC and 7693 auto sampler. Mass spectral data were collected using the Pegasus GC-HRT, yielding a mass resolving power of 25,000 (FWHM).

Pegasus® GC-HRT

LECO Corp.

While some systems on the market offer users a choice between acquisition speed or resolution, the Pegasus GC-HRT provides scientists with an unprecedented combination of speed, resolution, mass accuracy, isotopic abundance, and dynamic range. This instrumentation utilizes LECO's own Folded Flight Path™ (FFP™) technology to allow users to achieve resolutions of up to 50,000. LECO's exclusive ChromaTOF-HRT™ software with Automated Peak Find and True Signal Deconvolution® provides seamless data handling and compatibility with the NIST Library.
