FT-IR based gas analysis of battery gases

4 Jul 2024

In recent years, the demand for the analysis of battery gases has dramatically increased, driven by the worldwide mobility turnaround from fossil fuel to electric vehicles. Gas mixtures with IR-active components can be quantified quickly, accurately, and in real time with the use of Fourier-Transform Infrared (FT-IR) based gas analyzers. Bruker Optics highlights how gas analyzers from its MATRIX-MG Series in combination with the unique gas analysis software OPUS GA and the spectral database can be adapted to new applications such as battery gas measurements. Discover how their optical performance and sophisticated quantification algorithm allow for clear identification and accurate quantification of compounds of interest.

MATRIX II-MG Series

Bruker Optics

The MATRIX II-MG series comprises high performance instrumentation for Mid-Infrared gas and vapor phase spectroscopy as well as for gas quality control in process and environmental research. Based on Bruker’s R&D 100 award winning MATRIX-F spectrometer with its well-known and patented RockSolid™ interferometer the MATRIX II- MG series provide compact size, outstanding stability and sensitivity.
