Determination of 4-Methylimidazole in Cola Soft Drinks

Read this note to learn about a simple yet rugged analytical procedure for the direct analysis of 4-MI in well known cola soft drinks, and their light versions with no sample preparation. A high pH stable Purospher STAR C18-endcapped reversed phase (RP) column and UV detection are used.
