Detection of Universal GMO Markers Using qTOWER 2.2 Real-Time PCR

22 Apr 2015

Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) contain target genes that drive gene expression via viral sequences. It is necessary to establish reliable methods to analyze GMOs with a Limit of Detection (LOD) down to 0.1 % because of their use in agriculture and livestock. In this application note, the cauliflower mosaic virus 35S-Promoter and Agrobacterium tumefaciens nos terminator (tNOS) served as GMO markers and were detected using the qTOWER 2.2 from Analytik Jena.
