Agilent Seahorse XF plasma membrane permeabilizer

In this application note, Agilent Technologies introduces the Agilent Seahorse XF Plasma Membrane Permeabilizer (PMP), a cell permeabilization reagent. It offers easy access to mitochondria without the need for detergents, beads, or gradients. Most cell types work at 1.0 nM with minimal optimization, and the mitochondrial membrane remains undamaged for consistent assay results. The proprietary reagent selectively targets the cellular plasma membrane, enabling researchers to measure mitochondrial dysfunction without isolating mitochondria. Seahorse XF PMP is compatible with Agilent Seahorse XFe and XF Analyzers, providing valuable information that can be difficult to obtain with intact cells or isolated mitochondria.
