A novel IHC technology for tissue cross reactivity screening of humanized antibodies in human tissue

10 Mar 2026

This scientific poster introduces Vector Human-on-Human Detection, a novel immunohistochemistry technology designed for tissue cross-reactivity screening of humanized therapeutic antibodies in human tissues. The method overcomes challenges caused by endogenous human immunoglobulins that typically generate high background signals in standard IHC. Using a proprietary quenching reagent and HRP-based detection, the approach enables sensitive and specific detection of therapeutic antibodies in frozen and FFPE tissues without requiring antibody modification. The technology demonstrates strong signal-to-noise ratios and reliable detection across multiple therapeutic antibodies, supporting improved safety assessment during preclinical antibody development.

AntibodiesAntibodies are used in techniques such as confocal and fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, ELISA, ELISPOT, immunohistochemistry, western blotting and immunopreciptation. Select specific antigen reactivity, high specific affinity, low non-specific binding, monoclonal or polyclonal, primary or secondary antibodies and associated conjugates such as an enzyme or dye for visualization.ImmunologyImmunological techniques measure and characterize immune responses. Immunology kits and analysis systems often use techniques such as ELISA, radioimmunoassay (RIA) and immunodiffusion assays, Immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry. Immunologists use equipment such as flow Cytometers, plate readers, plate washers and fluorescent microscopes.Cellular PathologyCellular Pathology deals with the microscopic analysis of tissue samples and cells. Sample preparation and processing includes fixation, staining, sectioning and slide mounting, using equipment such microtomes and cryostats. In choosing immunohistochemistry and immunocytochemistry kits, consider chromogens, staining method, antibodies, microscopes and imaging.ImmunohistochemistryImmunohistochemistry (IHC) is a technique used to detect specific proteins in tissue samples by using antibodies that bind to target antigens. IHC is widely applied in pathology, immunology, hematology and cancer diagnostics.
