Good stability, contamination-resistant. Not enough sensitivity compared to modern triple stage mass spectrometers (ppb-level detection for drugs in human blood plasma). Expensive parts and consumables.

PFAS analysis
Instrument works well, software is not great. Needs to have a feature to pick peaks much quicker, and to display more at a time, like Shimadzu's or Agilent's software. Instrument is rugged though, good value.

Quantification of various substances in organ tissue
High-quality equipment. Very helpful tech support over the phone and on-site. We have had it in our lab for 10 years. A few big parts had to be replaced as the instrument is aging, but overall it runs very well all the time. Easy to use software, low maintenance.

Small molecule and peptide quantitation
I have been using our TSQ Quantum Ultra for over 10 years and it still works very well. It does not need much care except the PM annually. However, I do clean the ion transfer tube regularly. I like it very much.
