Sartoclear Dynamics Lab
Convenient Mammalian Cell Culture Harvesting
The Sartoclear DynamicsLab P15 has been a lifesaver for me!
Phage isolation for use in phage DNA isolation
The Sartoclear Dynamics Lab P15 is an easy to use, cost effective method to purify bacteriophage/phage from complex mixtures such as bacterial lysates and soil enrichments. This system bypasses the need for centrifugation of lysates, which saves a significant amount of time when there are multiple phage preparations. In addition, this system can be used in areas or in classrooms where a high-speed centrifuge is not available. This system is very easy to operate and undergraduate students have high success with purification of phage using the Sartoclear DynamicsLab P15. Recovery of phage is excellent and it is cost effective because the filtration system has a connected clarification step and filtration system. This combination results in significantly reduced clogging of the filter and so multiple filters are not needed for phage preparation filtration. The product support from Sartorius is impressive, with local representatives that will visit and demonstrate the product and will follow up to answer questions and assist as needed.

Sartoclear Dynamics® Lab kits are designed for rapid harvesting 15 mL to 1,000 mL volumes of cell cultures in the lab, enabling clarification and sterile filtration to be performed in one step. These kits simplify the process by fully eliminating the centrifugation step otherwise needed for clarification. As a result, up to 1,000 mL cell cultures can be efficiently clarified and sterilized in minutes – quickly and easily.
COVID-19 vaccine research challenges and solutions
Accounting for at least 15% of all human pathogens, emerging infectious diseases (EID) pose a significant burden on public health. Vaccination represents one of the most successful prophylactic tools for disease prevention and control, however, the development process is typically lengthy and expensive. While there has been a rapid development of multiple safe and highly effective vaccines in response to the current COVID-19 pandemic, there are still many challenges to overcome. This application note will explore the common challenges of vaccine development and the solutions available to overcome them.
Developing viral vaccines for emerging infectious diseases
The recent global outbreak of a novel pandemic COVID-19, caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), reminds us of the constant need for continued vaccine development as viral threats evolve. Unprecedented efforts and collaborations in the scientific community are underway to develop a vaccine. See how Sartorius’ innovative solutions advance and accelerate discovery and development of new vaccines against viral infections.
