"The Precellys products are good tools for protein and RNA isolation from mouse and human tissues. The lysing kits are easy to use and give reproducible tissue homogenates suitable for protein and RNA extraction. The RNA is of suitable quality for qPCR and phospho proteins stay intact for Western blot applications. The lysing kits are quite expensive, but worth their money. "
Dedicated to the Precellys®24 or Precellys®24 Dual, the Precellys® lysing kits are 2 ml or 7 ml tubes pre-filled with specific beads.
With these reference beads (ceramic, metal or glass) and standard protocols specific to each application, a large range of biological samples can be grinded, homogenized or lysed: from animal, human and plant tissues such as brains, leaves and heart, to fragile microorganisms like cells, bacterias and spores. Even challenging samples requiring ultimate strength such as hair and bones can be grinded without any problem.
