We were able to do targeted gene expression from precious archival patient samples.

"Due to the fragmentation introduced by FFPE fixation, RNA extracted from archival material could not be used for RNA-seq. Hence, we decided to use Nanostring's target gene analysis panel to rescue these batches of patient samples that have decades of clinical follow-up."
