The Mupid-One Electrophoresis System is one of the most convenient DNA separation systems on the market today. It has all the tools to deliver the perfect run every time: separated power supply, a simple buffer drainage system, support for multi-channel pipettes, seven output voltage settings (18, 25, 35, 50, 70, 100, and 135V), and an intuitive timer function.
It’s perfect for the modern lab, too; if you’ve made the switch from toxic ethidium bromide to safer alternatives such as Midori Green DNA Stain, then you'll be impressed with the blue LED illuminator add-on for this system. This option safely visualizes and detects DNA fragments during the run—no more guessing about band position! The illuminator is used in place of the Mupid lid, and includes an orange filter so that you can check the results without wearing goggles. The narrow emission peak at 470 nm is perfect for the excitation of safe nucleic acid stains such as Midori Green and SYBR dyes, and since it doesn’t use UV light the separated DNA doesn’t get damaged.
