Description

AmershamTM ImageQuantTM 800 systems, with Fujifilm optics and the SNOW imaging mode, allow you to stretch the dynamic range and easily image low and high abundance proteins.

Key features:

  • Sharp images with the best signal-to-noise ratio, automatically
  • One system, many imaging applications
  • Functional yet flexible design
  • Ideal for multi-user labs

Ideal for multi-user environments, the ImageQuantTM 800 system can image multiple sample types, including multiwell plates and petri dishes. Special accessories, such as the NP lens, allow users to get artifact-free chemiluminescence images.

The high-resolution 8.3-megapixel camera in the AmershamTM ImageQuantTM 800 system is capable of resolving even the most closely spaced bands, allowing for accurate quantitation in critical applications. In the example shown, it was possible to resolve bands that were just 0.5 mm apart.

The ImageQuantTM 800 system is equipped with six different types of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and corresponding filters, making imaging easy for a wide variety of applications beyond chemiluminescence.

Save space and easily integrate the ImageQuantTM 800 system into your operation with the new functional, yet flexible, design.

Application NoteLife Sciences

Microbiological testing using Amersham ImageQuant 800

In this application note, Cytiva explores strategies for plate preparation in microbiological analysis using agar plates, a widely used laboratory method in both academic research and industry. The note highlights the capabilities of the multi-mode Amersham ImageQuant 800 imaging system, which offers various imaging options, including color imaging for colony differentiation, grayscale optical density imaging for quantification, and advanced fluorescence multiplex imaging for research purposes. The combination of this imaging system with the Amersham ImageQuant TL 10.2 analysis software enables efficient and accurate colony counting, including automatic analysis of colonies based on parameters such as color, shape, and size to eliminate artifacts.

Western blotting: Principles and methods

Since its first description in 1979, Western blotting has become one of the most widely used methods in life science research. Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, this handbook from Cytiva is meant to guide and inspire. Here, Cytiva shares the latest expertise and technology to support your success from sample preparation to analysis. It describes the theoretical and practical aspects of the technique along with useful hints and tips. Over the past decade, improved detection methods and software have brought quantitative analysis to Western blotting. Here, Cytiva gives examples of protocols that can help you get even more quantitative data from your Western blots.

ImageQuant™ 800 for lateral flow assay development using dyes across the spectrum

The development of assays based on lateral flow has led to low cost and effective large-scale screening of infectious diseases with high specificity. Lateral flow assays consist of membranes, antibodies, and reagents for the detection of a color change or fluorescent dye. Lateral flow assays are an area of intense research and have led to highly robust and sensitive products, including a range of Whatman™ diagnostic solutions from Cytiva. In this application note, Cytiva investigate the use of Conjugated Polymer Nanoparticles (CPNs™) Amersham™ ImageQuant™ 800 systems for lateral flow assays and Western Blotting.

Optimizing chemiluminescence and fluorescence imaging

In this application note, Cytiva demonstrates how to leverage the novel image capture mode SNOW on the Amersham ImageQuant 800 system. Learn how this feature is designed to increase signal-to-noise ratio and image quality for accurate quantitation in biomolecular research and how it can be used with both ECL and fluorescence detection of proteins on a Western blot and for any binning setting, permitting image capture of even the most demanding samples.

Cytiva introduces the Amersham ImageQuant 800 CCD Imager

In this video, Cytiva introduces the Amersham ImageQuant 800 CCD Imager for imaging western blots, gels, and multi-well plates. This imager is able to perform chemiluminescence, fluorescence including infrared long and short, gel documentation, and OD measurements.

Robust and reliable imaging for regulated labs

ImageQuant 800 GxP is an optional module specifically designed for regulated environments to meet the increasing requirements of regulations like FDA 21 CFR part 11 and EU GMP Annex 11 — where data traceability, accountability, and integrity are critical. In this video, explore how you can use the ImageQuant 800 GxP system in a controlled environment like a biopharmaceutical QC lab.
