The 1260 Infinity II SFC Control Module is a carbon dioxide conditioning unit for supercritical fluid chromatography. This module pre- and postconditions CO2 for InfinityLab SFC solutions. CO2 preconditioning provides for unmatched stability and precision of retention times, and postconditioning enables trouble-free connection to mass spectrometers.

The 1260 Infinity II SFC Control Module first liquefies gas-phase CO2 and then compresses the liquefied gas. This unique approach of precompression eliminates many of the problems caused by the thermodynamic properties of liquid-phase CO2, and enables precise composition and delivery of the mobile phase by the 1260 Infinity II SFC Binary Pump at pressures up to 600 bar.
