Great product with good immunological affinity.
Immunology
Whole IgG antibodies are isolated as intact molecules from antisera by immunoaffinity chromatography. They have an Fc portion and two antigen binding Fab portions joined together by disulfide bonds and therefore they are divalent. The average molecular weight is reported to be about 160 kDa. The whole IgG form of antibodies is suitable for the majority of immunodetection procedures and is the most cost effective. Based on immunoelectrophoresis and/or ELISA, the antibody reacts with whole molecule human IgG. It also reacts with the light chains of other human immunoglobulins.

Excellent results every time.
Immunofluorescence
Jackson's secondary antibodies and antibody fragments are always of the highest quality and work perfectly the first time, every time. I've used them for over 30 years now and have never been disappointed.

Quality products with excellent tech support
Immunohistochemistry/IF
Jackson provides quality secondary antibodies that are highly affordable with more conjugation options than any other vendor I'm familiar with. We use both their biotin- and fluor-conjugated antibodies routinely for IHC & IF and have never experienced any issues. Not only do the antibodies perform well, but the technical staff is exceptional; I have learned much from them over the years. They're definitely my go-to for secondary antibodies.

Perfect results, reliable functionality, rich offer
Immunohistochemistry
I achieve perfect results. Antibodies are easy to use. Dilution for majority of the antibodies is the same that I appreciate. Rich offer of different antibodies, inc. various subclasses. Unfortunately, I miss e.g. secondary anti-rat IgG2a antibody.

Excellent quality and good value for money.
Testing of antibodies on sections of animal tissues
We use already for at least twenty five years the secondary antibodies of Jackson ImmunoResearch Laboratories. We use the IgG purified antibodies but also the other types of antibodies supplied by them. The quality of the products is excellent and they are easy to keep in the -20°C freezer. Because they can be kept liquid at -20°C by adding glycerol there is no danger of degrading. We are very satisfied and they are good value for money.

Choosing the right reagents for lateral flow immunoassays
In this application note, Jackson ImmunoResearch presents a suite of tools to facilitate the development and manufacture of accurate and sensitive lateral flow immunoassays for point of care (POC) use. Lateral Flow Immunoassays (LFIA) rapid tests are recognized as a powerful tool for point-of-care (POC) immunodiagnostics. They provide a format for the rapid detection and measurement of a variety of agents such as immunoglobulins (Igs) produced in response to infection or allergy, biomarkers such as human gonadotropin for pregnancy testing, food contaminants, substances generated by genetically modified crops, environmentally hazardous chemicals, and illicit drugs. LFIAs are a vital component in assessing health and safety for modern life.
Optimize your IHC and IF for experimental success
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) is a powerful technique used to detect and visualize proteins of interest within a cell or tissue using the specificity of the antigen-antibody reaction in combination with reporter molecules. Flow cytometry, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) and western blotting are other widely used assay methods that are based upon the principle of antibody-antigen binding.
This application eBook presents a practical guide on how to increase specificity and enhance your labeling technique to achieve optimum lab success, including expert insight and guidance on:
- Control and blocking reagents
- Effective solutions to tackle species on species labeling
- The importance of understanding cross-reactivity and cross-adsorbed secondary antibodies
Chromogenic detection for western blot, IHC, and ELISA
Chromogenic substrates can be used in a number of immunohistochemical applications from staining tissue with IHC through to Western blotting. The chromogenic substrate is added to a blot or tissue previously incubated with an enzyme-conjugated antibody (typically horseradish peroxidase (HRP) or alkaline phosphatase (AP)), which converts the substrate to a colored precipitate. Colorimetric detection is easy to use, although it may require optimization or additional staining to improve signal over background in samples expressing low antigen.
Secondary Antibodies for VHH Discovery
In this application note, Jackson ImmunoResearch Laboratories presents anti-alpaca IgG, subclass, and VHH domain secondary antibodies to optimize VHH antibody development and application.
Cross-Adsorbed Secondary Antibodies and Cross-Reactivity
This application note provides an overview of the unwanted effects of cross-reactivity and cross-adsorption and explains the importance of secondary antibodies with minimal cross-reactivity.

Western Blot Troubleshooting Guide
Western blotting is a staple technique of the molecular biology lab. The robust nature of the antigen-antibody interaction allows the presence of specific proteins and peptides to be detected from complex mixtures. If the Western blot is not behaving as expected, the following troubleshooting guide may help isolate the problem.
