The XN-350 offers single sample analysis in open mode. It has a fully integrated IPU (information-processing unit) including an LCD color touchscreen – so you do not need a separate computer to operate the analyzer.

It incorporates the proven Sysmex technologies of fluorescence flow cytometry, hydrodynamic focusing and our cyanide-free SLS method for determining hemoglobin. Ready for the future, it can be upgraded by adding new clinical and productivity values, or by opting for further professional services and connecting to our ExtendedIPU as your demands change.

Laboratory Investigation of Hemolysis

Hemolysis is the premature breakdown of red blood cells (RBC). This can occur either within macrophages of the reticuloendothelial system (RES), or within the blood vessels. This application note provides an overview of the methods of detecting hemolysis, and explains the impact of artefactual hemolysis caused by poor blood collection and sample handling.
