Description

Accurate quantification and identification of trace-level target analytes within complex matrices, such as pesticide residues in fruits and vegetables, pharmaceuticals in wastewater, or persistent organic pollutants like per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in drinking water and seafood, pose a significant analytical challenge. Sample preparation techniques are essential to isolate or concentrate analytes of interest while mitigating the impact of potentially interfering matrix components.

Proven workflows with PAL Systems and PAL μSPE Cartridges enable fully automated analysis of pesticides, glyphosate, AMPA veterinary drugs and PFAS. C18 materials are widely used outside of QuEChERS for veterinary drug analysis by LC/MS. Strong anion exchange material (SAX) is the standard for extracting very polar pesticides using the QuPPe method, suitable for compounds like glyphosate and AMPA. Weak anion exchange material (WAX) is ideal for analyzing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

Available micro-SPE cartridges:

  • µSPE-FILT-V, for filtration > 10 um
  • µSPE-GCB-10-V,µSPE Cartridge for PFAS analysis.
  • µSPE-SAX-50-V, µSPE Cartridge for polar, anionic pesticides or other anionic compounds.
  • µSPE-WAX-50-V, µSPE Cartridge for PFAS analysis.
  • µSPE-GCQuE1-45-V, µSPE Cartridge for GC amenable analytes.

For samples that contain chlorophyll:

  • µSPE-GCQuE2-44-V, µSPE Cartridge without Carbon for GC amenable analytes.

For samples without chlorophyl:

  • µSPE-GCQuE3-45-V, µSPE Cartridge for extraction of pesticides in general matrices.

For sampled following EN 15662 methodology:

  • µSPE-LCQuE1-30-T,µSPE Cartridge for pesticides in complex spice matrixes.
