Analyze the raw materials for battery industry
The NexION 2000 ICP Mass Spectrometer was used to analyze a series of raw materials for battery products. The software of the instrument is not quite easy for the ICP MS beginners especially for whom has no work experience of Perkin Elmer's products. However, both the instrument quality and work performance is good. The post-sales service is thoughtful and timely as well.

Analyze inorganic contaminants and speciation of arsenic, selenium and mercury
The ICP-MS NexIon 2000 is a very versatile and robust instrument. The software Syngistix is really intuitive. The hyphenation with HPLC Flexar allows you to develop several HPLC/ICP-MS methods for speciation of toxic trace elements (e.g. inorganic arsenic).

The NexION 2000 is so easy to use. Very reliable instrumentation and PerkinElmer service is excellent. Monthly maintenance cleaning cones and skimmer is effortless. Syngistix software very intuitive and easy to navigate. We use our NexION practically every day and have had no issues with it in almost 4 years.

Easy to operate the software but the DRC cell needs vast improvement.
Semiconductor trace metals testing
The instrument is easy to use, however, the DRC cell is much in needed of improvement. The DRC cell has a problem staying clean and therefore causes unnecessary shut downs for maintenance monthly. The software is user friendly. When the DRC cell is working correctly the results are repeatable and reliable.

Best money spent. Price tag is big but our ROI on the NexION 2000 ICP-MS is less than 1 year. Sending out samples for heavy metals was expensive. I've cut TAT and analysis costs by purchasing the NexION. Very easy to use, software is easy to maneuver, maintenance is extremely simple. Incredibly reliable and accurate instrument.
