Microlute® CSi C18 Plate – 2mg, 10mg
The Microlute® technology features a robust porous plastic structure that contains chromatographically active media immobilised within uniformly distributed pores.
The Microlute® technology features a robust porous plastic structure that contains chromatographically active media immobilised within uniformly distributed pores. This porous composite structure allows for greater control of flow when performing cleanup methods such as solid phase extraction (SPE). Controlled flow of samples through the active media maximises removal of contaminants and recovery of analytes with greater reproducibility. Microlute® gives you consistency and confidence in your sample preparation method each and every time.
- Improved reproducibility of recovery
- Uniform liquid flow through each well
- Automation friendly
The Microlute® CSi range has been developed to allow easy transfer of silica SPE methods.

Microlute CSi – a novel composite silica technology
Traditional loose packed solid phase extraction (SPE) plates often have issues like inconsistent resin mass and voiding, leading to reduced recovery and reproducibility. Porvair Sciences evaluates the effectiveness of Microlute® CSi, a novel composite silica technology, for SPE in chromatographic analysis. Further, a study compares the performance of a C18 10 mg loose packed plate with a C18 10 mg composite plate (Microlute® CSi) using a range of compounds. Results show that the Microlute® CSi plate offers better recovery and reproducibility due to its consistent bed weights and optimal liquid flow, overcoming common issues associated with traditional loose packed products.
