Lipidomics
Our Ultravap is linked to a robot and is responsible for the drying down of samples in organic solvent prior to mass spectrometry analysis. It performs this far more efficiently than our traditional heat block with piped Nitrogen gas, typically drying samples in half the time (20 minutes rather than 40) due to the application of heated Nitrogen gas rather than heating the sample. Thus it is ideal for high through put sample processing. The Ultravap's touch screen interface is very clear and easy to use, although we control ours using the robot software.

The Ultravap® Mistral blowdown evaporator has been designed with a flat front profile and platform shuttle enabling greater interfacing with liquid-handling robots for increased automation efficiency. Reproducible sample throughput is achieved by recent advancements in gas injection technology to deliver heated gas directly and consistently in each well and tube.
