Great precision but expensive kit
DNA RNA quantification
We got this Qubit Flex Fluorometer for our DNA RNA quantitation needs. Using this needs a little more as compared to the typical Nanodrop but once you have your standard, you are good to go. It definitely is more precise than the Nanodrop and not for your quick and dirty quantification. I will save this assay kit for more critical jobs rather than quantification for routine cloning work.

Flex your throughput.
The Invitrogen Qubit Flex Fluorometer can selectively, accurately measure the concentration of up to 8 samples of DNA, RNA or protein simultaneously. Compared to single sample microvolume fluorometers, using the Qubit Flex Fluorometer for multiple samples reduces your time to data by up to 50%, with time savings beginning with batches of as few as 8 samples. Combining the one-of-a-kind Qubit Flex Fluorometer and optimized Invitrogen Qubit reagents and tube strips offers a complete solution for DNA, RNA and protein quantification.
Key features of the Qubit Flex Fluorometer:
- Improved throughput: Measure up to 8 samples per run
- Assay range and reagent calculators for easy sample prep
- Sample calculators for NGS workflows
- More sensitive than UV absorbance–based quantification
- Uses as little as 1 μL of sample, making it ideal for precious samples
- Accurately quantifies DNA, RNA, and protein in < 3 seconds per sample
- Superior ease of use and small footprint
- Easy data export with WiFi and cloud capability
- Same optimized Qubit reagents
The best tools for DNA and RNA quantification
Nucleic acid quantification (NAQ) determines the concentration of DNA or RNA in a sample, enabling the calculation of the correct amount of nucleic acid required for downstream applications. Using the correct amount of nucleic acid saves time and money, preventing downstream experimental failures, and ensures data quality. Discover how to select the most suitable technology for optimal nucleic acid input, and explore how solutions from Thermo Fisher Scientific offer reliable experimental outcomes, and can help to avoid issues like insufficient amplification or poor sequencing results.
Accurate and precise quantification of up to 8 samples simultaneously using the Qubit Flex Fluorometer
In this application note, the new Qubit Flex Fluorometer, a benchtop device designed for highly accurate quanitification of DNA, RNA and protein, is introduced and the time needed to quantify an increased number of samples is assessed. The results of the assessments demonstrate a 50% improvement in time taken to process and quantify samples, whilst maintaining the accuracy and precision of the measurements.
Flex your throughput with the 8-sample Qubit Flex Fluorometer
In this application note, Thermo Fisher Scientific outlines how the 8-sample Qubit Flex Fluorometer can measure eight nucleic acid samples at the same time, promising you accurate data up to 50% faster than single-sample readers.
