CASE STUDY: Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust - Sunquest ICE
The Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust is one of the largest and busiest hospital Trusts in the North of England. The Trust began using Sunquest ICE in 2005 for ordering Pathology investigations. This case study shows that the Trust has increased the use of ICE to include results for pathology, radiology and other specialist departmental systems, referrals, discharge letters, clinical forms, patient lists and alerts.
CASE STUDY: North East Pathology Network - Sunquest ICE OpenNet
The North East Pathology Network consists of 9 Acute Trusts serving 13 Primary Care Trusts. The network serves a population of 3.1 million people and covers a large geographical area. Clinical staff members require a single source for Pathology/Radiology results. This case study describes the creation of a network enabling clinicians within hospitals and GPs to link to different acute trusts’ results.
