1. Prepare: Preserve the tumor microenvironment
Elephas Live™ Edge is a customized automated cutting tool that precisely cuts the biopsy into live tumor fragments. Elephas Live™ Protect is a proprietary hydrogel that maintains tissue architecture and cellular viability.
2. Assess: Analyze response to therapy
Elephas Live™ Method profiles cytokines from the live tumor fragments at multiple time points over 72 hours. The live tumor fragments are treated sequentially with negative control followed by an immune checkpoint inhibitor in the same well. This approach mitigates the challenges of tumor heterogeneity and tissue scarcity volume inherent to core needle biopsies.
