Bioinert (U)HPLC Columns

For challenging substances such as (oligo)nucleotides, phosphopeptides, selected proteins/peptides, phospholipids and metal-coordinating small molecules, various bioinert options are offered for YMC-Triart, BioPro IEX and YMC-Pack Diol SEC columns:

The new YMC Accura (U)HPLC columns are characterised by a bioinert surface coating on the column body and frit. YMC Accura columns are ready to use without any preconditioning, unlike the analysis of sensitive substances using standard columns. The sensitivity is significantly enhanced and precious samples are recovered without any loss. The coating is less hydrophobic compared to PEEK-lined (U)HPLC columns.

Metal-free PEEK-lined (U)HPLC columns are fully bioinert columns due to their PEEK-lined stainless steel column body and the use of PEEK frits. The stationary phase and hence the samples are only in contact with PEEK once the inside the column. Due to the use of stainless steel as outer body, the same pressure limits as for standard columns can be maintained.

These 2 options allow for the optimum inert hardware for analyses of any sensitive compound. Both column types show excellent peak shapes for sensitive compounds, prevent carry over and ensure complete recovery. They are especially ideal for the use in highly sensitive LC/MS analyses.
