Sensirion has launched the SFA40, the newest addition to its formaldehyde sensor portfolio

Formaldehyde, commonly found in wood-based furniture, flooring, paints, and cosmetics, is a hazardous indoor pollutant. Even at very low concentrations, it can cause respiratory irritation and is classified as a carcinogenic chemical.

To address the challenge of detecting formaldehyde at concentrations as low as tens of ppb, Sensirion has developed the SFA40 – a highly sensitive and selective sensor that accurately distinguishes harmful formaldehyde in the presence of other typically harmless volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

The SFA40 is designed to easily integrate into indoor air quality monitoring devices, air purifiers, and air conditioners. Measuring 10 x 13 x 2.4 mm³, it unlocks new applications where space is limited. Its energy-efficient design makes it ideal for battery-powered devices, ensuring extended operational life without compromising performance.

The SFA40 maintains an accurate digital, calibrated and compensated output throughout the entire sensor lifetime. It is designed, manufactured, and calibrated to ensure the highest quality standards, eliminating the need for additional calibration by the user.

Mass Flow Meter SFM5400

The SFM5400 mass flow meter measures mass flows with outstanding accuracy (errors < 1%), long-term stability and repeatability and covers an impressively wide dynamic measurement range.
