Award-winning Restek products make QuEChERS method of extraction and clean-up even simpler and more cost-effective.

Leading specialist supplier of quality gas chromatography equipment, Thames Restek has expanded its product portfolio with an increased range of Restek’s award-winning QuEChERS SPE tubes. The easy to use tubes are now available in three centrifuge sizes to meet the needs of both extraction and clean-up of pesticide residue samples from food products.

Fast, simple and ready to use, the centrifuge tubes are available in 2mL, 15mL and 50mL sizes containing ultra pure pre-weighed adsorbent mixes. The QuEChERS tubes enable a fourfold increase in sample throughput to be achieved with a fourfold decrease in material costs.

The convenient QuEChERS SPE tubes have been specifically designed for those performing the QuEChERS method of extraction and clean-up using dSPE, which was developed by the US Department of Agriculture Eastern Regional Research Centre.

The use and popularity of the QuEChERS technique and products continues to rise in laboratories. Restek’s QuEChERS range was recently named winner of Laboratory Equipment magazine’s 2009 Reader’s Choice Award. The awards were voted for by practising scientists and engineers based on the value and performance of the product in research labs.

Free sample packs of Restek’s QuEChERS SPE tubes are available through Thames Restek. Custom adsorbent mix combinations are also obtainable on request.

With 20 years experience in the industry, Thames Restek provides an unrivalled range of quality chromatography equipment and accessories from key manufacturers including the US Restek Corporation as well as Parker Balston, Valco and Hamilton. Gas ChromatographyGas chromatography (GC) is an analytical technique used to separate and quantitate mixtures of small and volatile compounds. Gas chromatographs or GC systems include components such as GC columns, detectors, pumps and autosamplers. Choose from packed or capillary GC columns, flame ionization (FID), photoionization (PID) electron capture detectors and selective or non-selective detectors. Multiple formats are available for conducting SPE, including prepacked SPE cartridges, disks and microplates, as well as SPE sorbent powders for manual packing. SPE systems can be used to automate the process and extract multiple samples at once. Solid-phase microextraction (SPME) and supported liquid extraction (SLE) products are also available in the same formats.
