Thermo Scientific™ Vanquish™ Core HPLC systems received significant enhancements in 2025 to deliver smarter usability, greater sustainability and improved lab productivity with LC separations. Designed for use across pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, food and beverage, environmental and academic laboratories, the upgraded systems feature a number of sustainable features including torque-controlled Thermo Scientific™ Viper™ TQ UHPLC fittings and replaceable capillaries for column active pre-heaters. Manufactured in facilities fully powered by renewable energy, they are also the first LC systems to achieve a Platinum ACT™ Ecolabel 2.0 certification for environmental impact analysis.

Sustainable Supplier of the Year

The Sustainable Supplier of 2025 award went to StatLab
The award for the Sustainable Supplier of 2025 goes to StatLab, as voted for by scientists and healthcare professionals around the world.
With a commitment to having a positive effect on the environment, StatLab is working to significantly impact laboratory sustainability through various initiatives that support greener operations for pathology labs. The company is committed to responsible manufacturing focusing on reducing waste and emissions, including optimized packaging of the StatLab PiSmart S1 Slide Printer and the use of renewable energy in the product of its KT® Premium Slides, as well as continuing to focus on sustainable product innovation, education of employees, and waste reduction across global sites.
The company’s move to an in-house manufacturing model that consolidates both product and packaging production in Texas has reduced transportation requirements and supply-chain complexity, significantly lowering StatLab’s carbon footprint.

Sustainable Laboratory of the Year
The award for Sustainable Laboratory of the Year goes to Johns Hopkins University Green Labs initiative.
The Johns Hopkins University Green Labs Program has demonstrated exceptional leadership in promoting sustainability across its thousands of research and teaching laboratories. Through the implementation of My Green Lab® certification, participating labs have adopted a wide range of environmentally responsible practices, including energy-efficient equipment, optimized fume hood usage, and automated lighting systems, significantly reducing overall energy consumption.
