Product news

The new MixMate from Eppendorf is a compact mixer for fast and controlled mixing of small volumes. Optimized mixing parameters and a well thought-out operation concept set new standards in sample preparation.

MixMate was specially developed for the particular needs of plates and effectively mixes PCR plates (whether skirted, semi-skirted or unskirted), deepwell plates und MTPs up to 96- and 384-well formats. The supplied tube holder makes it possible to work with all standard micro test tubes (0.2 ml, 0.5 ml, 1.5 ml and 2.0 ml) in the MixMate. The innovative 2DMix-Control technology thereby enables the effective and controlled mixing of samples in the least possible time, without the use of a lid being necessary to avoid spillage. This makes the reproducible results possible that are necessary for processes such as PCR setup or the re-suspension of pellets, mixing gel loading buffers, reporter gene assays, immuno assays and colorimetric protein quantification.

The MixMate from Eppendorf unites a plate and tube mixer with a vortex function in a 3-in-1 format, making it suitable for nearly all mixing applications for small volumes. Like all Eppendorf mixers, the MixMate also conforms to the requirements of the IVD guideline 98/79/EC.

MixMate from Eppendorf - a compact and amazingly versatile benchtop mixer

Eppendorf

Compact and amazingly versatile, benchtop MixMate can be used for virtually any mixing application. It accommodates micro test tubes, PCR plates, deepwell plates and MTPs. It features an integrated vortex ing function and an operating concept that is as simple as it is intelligent. 2DMix-Control: uniquely fast and controlled mixing movement Current findings show that rpm speed is not the only determining factor in efficiently mixing small volumes. More often, the perfect mixing process occurs when parameters such as speed, type of mixing movement (e.g., orbital) and the mixing radius are optimized to smoothly run together. Eppendorf has perfected how these parameters interact in MixMate, and we have named this feature 2DMix-Control. Optimized mixing Perfect mixing radius combined with perfect, 2-dimension mixing and adjustable mixing speed ensure rapid and complete mixing of even the smallest volumes. Anti-spill technology Perfectly controlled 2-dimension mixing prevents spilling and/or lid wetting, eliminating any need for centrifugation after mixing.

ELISA often comes in kit format, with pre-selected antibody pairs to detect specific proteins or biomarkers of diseases such as diabetes and obesity, or cardiovascular and neurological disorders. Detection is made possible with chemiluminescent, fluorescent or colorimetric substrates and detection instruments such as microplate / ELISA readers. Other kits available include: Enzyme-linked immunospot (ELISPOT) assays for the quantification of protein-producing cells and chemiluminescent immunoassays (CLIA) kits.
