The AZURA® Compact Bio LC 10 from KNAUER is ideal for SEC methods in the protein purification lab. This FPLC system takes the time-consuming work also known as gel-filtration from your sophisticated FPLC system, freeing resources and allowing users to run more different separations at a time.

Thanks to the AZURA system’s precision and intuitive PurityChrom® FPLC software, users benefit from outstanding performance and ease of use. Pre-defined methods are included in the software and can be easily adapted by changing the column volume.

AZURA Compact Bio LC 10 supports all glass columns available on the market. The system features a buffer pump that can provide pressures up to 50 bar and thus also enables fast separations. With an electrical injection valve, a variable wavelength UV detector and a robust fraction collector, automated SEC purification can be implemented with very high precision.

Due to the modular concept of all AZURA systems, this system is easily upgradable for even complex separation tasks.

  • SEC system frees resources from your other FPLC systems
  • High speed, high pressure method capable
  • Works with all common glass columns on the market
  • High precision purifications
  • Easy-to-use software, also including pre-defined methods
  • Upgradable

Size Exclusion ChromatographySize exclusion chromatography (SEC) is a liquid chromatographic technique used to separate and identify molecules based on their size, including polymers, proteins, nanoparticles & nucleic acid. SEC is further subdivided into gel filtration chromatography (GFC) and gel permeation chromatography (GPC) when an aqueous or organic mobile phase is used respectively. HPLC-based SEC systems and columns are available for analytical separation alongside SEC spin columns or filters to prep samples for many protocols.
