The CORIOLIS® from Bertin Technologies is a new microbial air sampler dedicated to capture biological particles in the air. It relies on a cyclonic patented technology to concentrate airborne particles (for example bacteria and molds) into a liquid media quickly. This sample is compatible with all analyses including immuno-assay, PCR, flow cytometry, microbiology.

Giving accurate and reliable results in only few hours, it has been validated for indoor and outdoor air monitoring and it can efficiently collect airborne contains such as bacteria, spores, molds, pollens and even airborne viruses…

According to ISO 14698 recommendations, Coriolis®µ is a perfect solution for the collection of bio-particles as far as it has a d50 (the particle diameter at which the sampler efficiency is more than 50%) easily below 0,5µm (HPA report n°41/08). A high air flow rate (up to 300L/min) can be set to collect a representative sample and improve the probability of detecting a large panel of micro-organisms even if a low concentration is in the air.

The collection efficiency has been tested by Pfizer US, and results have been published during the 4th Annual Global Conference on Pharmaceutical Microbiology (PDA) in October 2009.

Cell / Tissue CultureCell culture or tissue culture is used to study the biology of cells or tissues and to isolate cellular products in an environment which can be manipulated and well defined. Accurately control your culture environment with bioreactors or culture incubators, bind your cells to a surface or together with an extracellular matrix. Distinguish cell types with differential media or proliferate cells with certain characteristics using selective media. Enrich your media with supplements such as growth factors, sera and vitamins. Find the best cell and tissue culture products, kits and equipment in our peer-reviewed product directory: compare products, check customer reviews and receive pricing direct from manufacturers.Autoclaves and SterilizersAutoclaves and sterilizers are commonly used to sterilize laboratory equipment, instruments and growth media using constant pressure and temperature. When choosing an autoclave or sterilizer consider medical or laboratory application, size, loading and sterilization method. Sterilization methods include flame (Bunsen burners), heat (steam or dry), chemical and UV.IncubatorsLaboratory incubators are used to provide a stable environment to cultivate and store samples in, giving you optimal control of temperature, humidity, oxygen and CO2 levels. Incubators are necessary equipment for cell culture and microbial research. Control temperature with heated or refrigerated incubators, or the levels of CO2 and oxygen with CO2 incubators. Using environmental chambers, create a humid climate for testing samples.
