Symyx Technologies, Inc. has announced the availability of Powdernium SV (Storage Vial), a new shaker powder dispense technology ideal for novel applications such as compound management, walk-up sample prep and reference standards preparation.

Powdernium SV acts as a hybrid vial hopper and storage vessel that enables low-cost storage without the requirement to sub-divide materials, helping to save and optimally manage precious resource materials. Symyx Powdernium SV is being showcased at LabAutomation 2009 (booth 219) in Palm Springs (CA, USA).

An important differentiator of Symyx's new shaker powder dispense technology is a patent-pending valve cap that provides precision flow regulation and quick-access storage without cross contamination, helping to maintain integrity and the accuracy of powder dispense results. Additionally, the new valve cap and vial hopper dispense technology is disposable, thus neither cleaning nor carry-over are required.
