Artel is introducing the next generation of the Multichannel Verification System (MVS). The MVS is a comprehensive volume verification system compatible with nearly all automated liquid handlers and multi-channel pipettes, enabling labs to rapidly calibrate and verify their instrumentation with maximum precision and accuracy. In assay development, the system can shorten the path to a validated assay by optimizing liquid handler settings, liquid classes, and scripts. For troubleshooting and root cause analysis the MVS can assist speedy identification of the problem component by allowing for fast checking of critical workflow elements such as tips, plates, and reagents. Method transfer, frequently a frustrating undertaking, can proceed smoothly by utilizing the MVS to ensure repeatable processes by all parties.

“We worked closely with our customers, using their feedback to redesign the system for an enhanced user experience,” says Artel product manager, Melinda Gold.

Multiple features have been added to the system to streamline processes and increase ease-of-use for more intuitive operation. The updated MVS enables recall of historical calibrator plate reports for easier auditing. Navigation has been further simplified. More USB ports have been added to help optimize usability, and changes have been made to improve its ergonomic profile.

“Our design experts pay close attention to the changes in technology that drive evolving laboratory needs,” says Kirby Pilcher, Artel’s president. “This product revamp reflects our commitment to staying ahead of the curve and providing the best tools available to our customers concerned with increasing the efficiency of their assay and automated liquid handling processes.”

Artel provides quality assurance systems and a broad and fully customizable range of support, training and consultation services for laboratories using automated liquid handling instrumentation and manual pipettes.
