Micronic has introduced the Rack Reader DR515, a compact, simple and high-performance 2D code scanning solution designed to enhance efficiency and accuracy in modern laboratory environments.

The Rack Reader DR515 is engineered to read full racks of 2D Data-Matrix coded sample tubes in seconds, supporting laboratories that require fast, reliable, and error-free sample identification. With its small benchtop footprint and plug-and-play functionality, the DR515 integrates seamlessly into existing workflows and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).

Built to perform in challenging laboratory environments, the Rack Reader DR515 features an integrated anti-frost system, enabling accurate barcode reading even when racks are taken directly from cold storage. This minimizes delays caused by condensation and improves the handling of frozen samples.

The DR515 is supplied with Micronic Code Reader Software, enabling immediate operation upon installation. USB connectivity allows for straightforward integration with most LIMS platforms, ensuring smooth and reliable data capture and transfer. For expanded capability, the system is compatible with an optional Micronic Side Barcode Reader, enabling simultaneous reading of 1D rack barcodes and 2D tube codes.

The compact Micronic Rack Reader DR515 reads whole racks filled with 2D Data-Matrix coded tubes. It features an anti-frost system, which minimizes condensation of frozen samples on the scanner plate. This way, tube codes from even frozen samples can be read, improving productivity and preserving the integrity of samples. The scanner is provided as standard with Micronic Code Reader Software to ensure optimal performance.
