INTRODUCING the Guava EasyCyte™ Mini: Easy & Affordable Flow Cytometry & Cell Counting

Product news

Once again Guava is making flow cytometry accessible to anyone in the lab. Guava’s latest microcapillary flow cytometry system—the Guava EasyCyte Mini—is easy to use, surprisingly affordable, and very compact, with features such as absolute cell counts, 5 parameters (3 fluorescent colors, 2 light scatter), and a blue laser for access to commonly used fluorescent dyes.

The Guava EasyCyte Mini runs each of Guava’s turnkey assays, enabling easy, fast measurements of GFP expression and viability, cell counting and viability, apoptosis, cell cycle analysis, antigen detection and more. Each assay meets Guava’s exacting standards of robustness, ease of use, and affordability, while requiring only a few microliters of precious sample and generating minimal waste. Like all Guava systems, the Guava EasyCyte Mini has the unique ability to obtain direct absolute cell counts as well as population percentages, enabling researchers to monitor changes in overall cell number, which may have an impact on their assay. This functionality cannot be obtained with traditional sheath flow cytometers. Discover the power of on-demand flow cytometry and cell counting…on your own schedule, right in your own laboratory.

NEW!!! Guava Technologies also launches its new line of Guava Express Cell Surface Antibodies, making it easy to perform cell labeling with antibodies.

All of the Express Cell Surface antibodies are directly conjugated to dyes in order to minimize the number of steps needed for labeling. Most Express primary antibodies are available in three dye conjugations so you can mix and match them as needed.

Flow Cytometry / Cell CountingFlow cytometers are used to count, sort and examine multiple characteristics of cells. Other cell analysis equipment includes image cytometers, cell counters, fluorescence-activated cell sorters (FACS), magnetic-activated cell sorters (MACS), and a range of flow cytometry assay kits. Flow cytometers can reveal information on cell viability, cell proliferation, apoptosis and cell cycle progression, as well as identify cell populations and intracellular or cell-surface molecules. Additionally, some flow cytometers, known as FACS, have an additional sorting function after analysis. Cell counters and image cytometers count live and dead cell populations and can also conduct cell proliferation assays.
