GelTech Labs to unveil breakthrough hydrogel testing automation platform at SLAS2026

6 Feb 2026

GelTech Labs has announced that it will debut Carousel, its flagship automated swelling and degradation testing instrument, at the SLAS2026 International Conference & Exhibition in Boston, MA.

Hydrogels are central to innovations in drug delivery, wound care, cosmetics, medical devices, hygiene products, agriculture, and climate technologies, yet the methods used to test them remain slow, manual, and highly variable. Carousel eliminates these bottlenecks by fully automating the 100‑hour workflows researchers perform today, drastically improving throughput, reproducibility, and reliability.

GelTech has raised $1M in combined investor funding and non‑dilutive support, including awards from the National Science Foundation and UC San Diego, to bring this technology to market. The company is also building a broader hydrogel characterization platform, including nanoscale and 3D elastography tools, supported by a growing IP portfolio.

At SLAS2026, GelTech will share new validation data, early customer traction, and its vision for creating the world’s most comprehensive hydrogel performance dataset, enabling faster research, smarter materials design, and next‑generation AI modeling.
