Product news

Syrris has announced that for a limited time only, any purchase of an Atlas Syringe Pump will be supplemented with a completely free Temperature Probe for temperature-dependent dosing, worth over £500 (approximately €600/$1000).

As the latest addition to the Atlas family of modular synthesis products, the new Syringe Pump has been designed as a flexible, intelligent module for automated volumetric dosing to reactors without PC control. By connecting the Syrris pH probe it is also possible to maintain a pH by the addition of acid and or base. Its easy to use twist-and-click control knob with large display is complemented by operational flexibility and a broad flow-rate range of 0.5 µl/min to 10 ml/min, making it a valuable automation tool for any chemistry laboratory. Combined with the additional bonus of a free Temperature Probe, further experimental versatility is available at no extra cost.

Free Temperature Probes are available only with Atlas Syringe Pump orders received before 31st August 2008. For further information, please contact Syrris.

Atlas Syringe Pump

Syrris Limited

The Atlas Syringe Pump is a versatile volumetric dosing system that consists of two syringes and can be configured into 2 refilling flows or 1 continuous flow. It can operate in isolation by use of the intuitive twist and click knob and display or can be controlled by the Atlas Base. A choice of dosing modes allows simple additions or intelligent active control of parameters including pH and temperature.

Combinatorial ChemistryCombinatorial chemistry, also known as combichem, is a technique used in drug discovery to create libraries of structurally related compounds. A library is generated by synthesis with a chemical reactor system or by computer-based modeling of compound combinations. When undertaking combinatorial chemistry consider reagents, buffers, resins and standards.Medicinal ChemistryMedicinal chemistry is a broad discipline encompassing the design, identification, synthesis and development of chemicals in drug discovery. It includes a number of techniques covering structural biology, synthetic chemistry and molecular biology. Technologies used in medicinal chemistry include ADME, lab-on-a-chip, high content screening and assay assembly.Process ChemistryProcess chemistry is an important stage of drug development for scaling-up drug production or chemical synthesis reactions. It is useful for optimizing economical and efficient drug production. Process chemistry uses reactors and pump systems as well as reagents, standards and buffers.Thermal Analysis EquipmentThermal analysis equipment is used for measuring heat flow, weight loss, dimension changes or thermomechanical properties and is important for analyzing a material’s performance and stability. Thermal analysis equipment includes differential scanning calorimeters (DSC), thermogravimetric analyzers (TGA), thermomechanical analyzers (TMA), dilatometers, thermometers, vapor sorption analyzers, boiling and melting point apparatus. Thermal analyzers can reveal properties such as melting, crystallization and glass transitions or other processes such as oxidation, decomposition, volatilization, as well as coefficients of thermal expansion and modulus.
