Product news

From today the Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA) option can be introduced in the whole range of instruments for thermal analysis produced by Expert System Solutions: from optical dilatometers to heating microscopes and all the combined instruments.

The most innovative feature is the possibility to perform the differential thermal analysis on samples obtained by pressing powders, by casting or also by cutting an industrial piece, without the use of crucibles.

Misura® DTA provides valuable information about transformations which are taking place inside the materials, which are difficult to be detected with other analytical techniques.

Thermal expansion, sintering and softening tests can be performed on samples prepared exactly in the same way and subjected to the same thermal cycle. The curves obtained are thus perfectly comparable both on time and on temperature basis.

Thermal Analysis EquipmentThermal analysis equipment is used for measuring heat flow, weight loss, dimension changes or thermomechanical properties and is important for analyzing a material’s performance and stability. Thermal analysis equipment includes differential scanning calorimeters (DSC), thermogravimetric analyzers (TGA), thermomechanical analyzers (TMA), dilatometers, thermometers, vapor sorption analyzers, boiling and melting point apparatus. Thermal analyzers can reveal properties such as melting, crystallization and glass transitions or other processes such as oxidation, decomposition, volatilization, as well as coefficients of thermal expansion and modulus.
