Boost sensitivity of metal-sensitive compounds with Restek’s new inert LC columns

New columns are ideal for the analysis of metal-sensitive compounds, including mycotoxins, pesticides, and methylmalonic acid

4 Oct 2024

Restek’s inert LC column line has been expanded to now include Raptor C18 and Force C18 columns. Ideal for analyzing metal-sensitive columns, inert columns increase analyte response and sensitivity by reducing nonspecific binding of chelating compounds. Combined with Restek’s selective stationary phases, these new inert LC columns are ideal for the analysis of metal-sensitive compounds, such as mycotoxins, pesticides, and methylmalonic acid.

Restek’s inert LC columns can provide:

  • Improved peak shape without passivation or mobile phase additives.
  • Increased response and analyte recovery, allowing lower detection limits.
  • High accuracy and throughput with less variability.
  • Less time-consuming conditioning and complicated passivation required.

Restek’s inert LC column technology is available in various column types with more phases coming soon to accommodate a wide range of applications and testing methodologies: Raptor Biphenyl, Raptor C18, Raptor ARC-18, Force Biphenyl, and Force C18. These new columns help bring the benefits of inert technology to labs specializing in small molecule LC-MS/MS workflows.

Raptor™ C18 LC Columns (USP L1)

Restek Corp.

Restek chemists became the first to combine the speed of superficially porous particles (also known as SPP or “core-shell” particles) with the resolution of highly selective USLC® technology. This new breed of chromatographic column allows you to more easily achieve peak separation and faster analysis times without expensive UHPLC instrumentation.

Force C18 LC Columns

Restek Corp.

Force LC columns are available with Restek's most popular and highly selective Biphenyl and FluoroPhenyl phases, as well as a general-purpose C18.
