The Purair® RX Balance Enclosure is designed with ductless technology to keep you safe from powders or particulates during the weighing process. The Class I enclosure meets USP 800 requirements. It comes in three sizes and offers two depth choices for benchtop or freestanding installation.

The innovative design of the Purair RX prevents by-pass leakage, monitors airflow, and uses the Multiplex™ Filtration System, with a pre-filter, HEPA filter, and secondary HEPA or carbon filter, to keep you safe.

We understand the high risks associated with handling pure pharmaceutical powders. Choose your equipment wisely. Don't let your safety hang in the balance.

At a Glance:

  • Safer Environment. The Purair RX uses Multiplex Filtration to contain particulates. The ductless design prevents the release of these contaminants to your work or ecological environment.
  • More Versatility. The factory-installed exhaust canopy allows for thimble ducting to the outside. Portability of the unit also means you can move it wherever you need it most.
  • Safer Filter Replacement. The optional Air Science® SafeSwitch™ bag-in/bag-out filter replacement system minimizes exposure to filter contaminants when removing used filters and inserting replacements.

In addition to the Purair RX, Air Science offers a full range of equipment for pharmaceutical research laboratories. Our cabinets, enclosures, and stations are built to deliver time-tested performance, low operating costs, and proven containment.

RegulatoryPharmaceutical regulations impact on all areas of drug development, manufacture and control and supply. Services are provided from the early stages of drug development and clinical trials through to dossier submission, approval and marketing. Regulatory also includes submission of analytical studies from the pharmaceutical product and safety. Fumehoods and Biological Safety CabinetsFume hoods and biological safety cabinets are used to provide personnel, sample and environmental protection by limiting exposure to hazardous materials either by venting or enclosing hazardous sample space. Fume hoods include filtered and ductless fume hoods, general ducted fume hoods, laminar flow cabinets and cabinets for powder weighing. There are three classes of biological safety cabinet, dependent on the level of protection provided. Class I provide personnel and environmental protection, class II provide product, personnel and environmental protection. Class III provide the highest level of protection and are designed for use with high-risk biological agents. Other ventilated workspaces for the laboratory include glove boxes, glove bags, anaerobic and hypoxic workstations.
