PULSEspencer R automation system for the precise dispensing of liquids

At the SLAS 2026 International Conference & Exhibition in Boston (February 7–11), Analytik Jena will be presenting the PULSEspencer R – a new solution for low-volume dispensing. It is the first model in a digital and contactless dispenser series in Analytik Jena's portfolio.

By eliminating manual pipetting, dilution series, and normalization steps, the PULSEspencer R streamlines assay preparation and enables miniaturization. It redefines precise, contactless work and sets standards for modern research applications.

The PULSEspencer R enables precise dispensing of liquids such as DMSO, water, small molecules, and biomolecules using disposable cassettes. The system is based on three key principles: miniaturization, direct dilution, and rapid volume distribution. These features help to streamline workflows and reduce resource consumption.

With its compact design and modular concept, the PULSEspencer R supports a wide range of applications — from drug discovery to genomics — and offers users simple, reproducible handling.

The benefits include:

  • Faster assay setups thanks to intuitive software and contactless dispensing
  • Miniaturization saves reagents and reduces waste
  • Compact design for flexible integration into any laboratory

Another highlight at SLAS2026 will be the tutorial 'CyBio FeliX as Your Excellent Source of Protein – Now Including the Tough Ones. Automated purification from antibodies to membrane proteins in their native lipid environment.' Analytik Jena will demonstrate how the CyBio FeliX platform enables automated workflows for antibodies, labeled proteins, and even membrane proteins — thanks to innovative NativeMP™ technology in cooperation with Cube Biotech.
