2020 is a special year for Analytik Jena: The specialist for analytical and bioanalytical laboratory measurement technology is celebrating its 30th anniversary. On this occasion, Analytik Jena would like to focus this year on those who have accompanied and shaped the company over the years: customers, partners and employees. With the motto "30 Years. 30 Stories." Analytik Jena will publish stories from this special group throughout the year.

"The history of Analytik Jena is a good example of innovation and progress," says Ulrich Krauss, CEO of Analytik Jena. "Many special people have shaped the company over the years. We would like to thank these people and tell their stories in our anniversary year. With this, we take a look back at what has been achieved, but above all we look forward into the future. We are not standing still and are not resting on the successes of the past. Analytik Jena's goal is to remain one of the world's leading providers of innovative laboratory analysis equipment and technology in the next 30 years.

Analytik Jena was founded in May 1990 by Klaus Berka, Walter Maul and Jens Adomat as one of the first companies created in Jena after the fall of the Berlin Wall. During the 1990s, the young Thuringian company expanded both nationally and internationally. This was followed by the addition of production and development capacities for proprietary analytical solutions such as spectrophotometers, spectrometers and elemental analyzers. The IPO in 2000 initiated a further phase of international expansion and the business was gradually expanded to include the life science, liquid handling and laboratory automation sectors. Since 2015, the Jena-based company has been a wholly owned subsidiary of the Swiss family business Endress+Hauser, a global leader in process automation.

Over the years, Analytik Jena has earned an excellent reputation among its customers and is well prepared for the challenges of the future. The company has strategically repositioned itself and successfully aligned its product portfolio to the needs of various core industries that are particularly dependent on innovative and reliable laboratory analysis - such as the environmental sector or the food industry. The aim is to simplify customers’ everyday laboratory work with innovative products, solutions and services, to promote their scientific excellence and to improve their products and processes. The corporate values of personal commitment, excellence, sustainability and friendliness are the compass that guides Analytik Jena.

Analytik Jena not only stands for special customer proximity, high-quality technologies and solution orientation, but also attaches great importance to its more than 1,000 employees worldwide and offers an attractive working environment with numerous activities and services. Family-friendly, flexible working hours, a wide range of development and further training opportunities and health and fitness benefits are just some of them. Due to these measures, the company has received several awards for its family-friendly approach.

"We create conditions that give our employees a great deal of freedom." says Grit Petzholdt-Gühne, Chief Human Resources Officer of Analytik Jena, "Our corporate culture, which has grown over many years, connects us with our customers. Particularly important is the daily value-oriented interaction with one another, because only a community of values can also be a performance-oriented community."

Analytik Jena would like to celebrate the anniversary together with customers, partners and employees in a special way. On its website, 30 selected stories from customers, partners and employees will be published throughout the year. Analytik Jena would not be what it is today without the committed and long-term support of its customers, partners, and employees. The stories are both retrospective and look ahead to cooperation and joint success in the future.
