21 Sept 2015Analytik Jena AG will be appearing at BIOTECHNICA 2015, the leading international trade show for biotechnology, with the new Biometra TRIO thermal cycler.
The Biometra TRIO is based on the successful successor model TProfessional TRIO, features a 7’’ colored touch screen and a completely new software interface and has a very low noise emission. The three independent blocks and heated lids allow the run of three different PCR protocols simultaneously with superior ramping rates. “Thanks to the powerful electronics, the Biometra TRIO blocks can reach fastest heating and cooling rates of up to 5 °C/s”, as Alexander Berka, General Manager of the Life Science business unit at Analytik Jena, explains.
The software offers a comfortable user management with individually assignable user rights settings. A single touch leads from the easy spreadsheet to the graphical programming and the optional temperature optimization step (TOS) function that can be used to find the optimal annealing temperature of new primer pairs. Additionally, the software offers for example extensive USB functions, the backup function for saved programs, users and user rights settings and a multi block start and stop function.
